April employment fair seeking businesses who need workers

The River Valley Workforce Investment Board will be hosting the 5th Annual River Valley Employment Fair from 2 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27 at Riverside Middle School in Springfield.
The fair, a joint effort among the River Valley Workforce Investment Board, the VT Department of Labor, Creative Workforce Solutions, Springfield Regional Development Corp. and the River Valley Technical Center, is aimed at connecting local job seekers with seasonal and permanent jobs in the area and to showcase resources and training programs that will help job seekers obtain employment.
Fair organizers are looking for local employers with job opportunities, especially those who gear up in the spring and summer. Employment fair sponsors are also wanted.
The WIB serves the towns of Andover, Baltimore, Cavendish, Chester, Grafton, Landgrove, Londonderry, Ludlow, Plymouth, Reading, Rockingham, Springfield, Weathersfield, West Windsor, Weston, Windsor, Windham and surrounding communities.
Employers or resource organizations interested in participating in the fair should contact coordinator Suzanne Groenewold at 802-885-8310 or at sgroenewold@rvt.org. There is no fee for job seekers to participate in the fair due.
