At its May membership meeting, Crown Point Board of Realtors awarded Betty McEnaney its highest honor as Realtor of the Year for 2016.

The  CPBR said this decision was an easy one since McEnaney is considered to be the “heart and soul of our board. Betty has been a constant presence for many years and only fitting that she be the recipient as CPBR celebrate our 25th anniversary.”

McEnaney is a member of the CPBR Board of Directors, its representative in the New England Real Estate Network, a member of the Sammy Pierce Scholarship and Education committees. She is also noted for usually being the first to arrive and the last to leave the CPBR meetings.

McEnaney began her career in real estate in 1979, and has been president of the CPBR twice and in 1998 served as president of the Vermont Association of Realtors. She has earned the Certified Residential Specialist, Seniors Real Estate Services, Graduate Realtor Institute and e-Pro designations from the National Association of Realtors.

In 2003, McEnaney started the Goodwill Project where she donates 5 percent of every dollar earned to a nonprofit that is either located in Vermont or that serves Vermonters. These recipients are chosen by the buyers and sellers that McEnaney works with. To date, more than $100,000 has been shared with the Vermont community.

I have known Betty for 20+ years and have had the pleasure of working with her in several Realtor capacities. It is my opinion that no one has given more to advance professionalism in the Vermont Realtor organization than Betty. Congratulations, Betty.
