Derry area solid waste group to hold public meeting Oct. 18

The Londonderry Solid Waste Group, which serves the towns of Landgrove, Londonderry, Peru, Weston and Windham, will hold a public meeting from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18 at the Londonderry Town Office, 100 Old School St., South Londonderry.

The purpose of the meeting is to offer members of the public an opportunity to discuss programs and activities of the group.

The mission of the group is to reduce the amount of waste disposed in landfills by reducing the amount of waste generated, conserving resources and promoting recycling and reuse.
