Police Log for Nov. 4 through Dec. 28, 2012

Sunday, Nov. 4, 11:34 a.m.

A resident along Route 10 reported that the back window of her SUV had been vandalized. While the safety glass was shattered, there was no evidence of a rock or other projectile.

Sunday, Dec. 2, 8:18 a.m.

A Church Street resident reported footprints in the snow in the driveway of a suspicious nature.

2:57 p.m.

Someone reported that while he was riding his bicycle it skidded into the gas pumps at the Sunoco Station and that he wanted it on the record because of negligence on behalf of the business. Police advised that this was a civil matter.

Thursday, Dec. 6, 2:13 p.m.

The holder of a house key on Maple Ridge Road reported a broken window as an entry point with damage to a rear door.

Friday, Dec. 7, 8:42 a.m.

A two-car accident was reported on Pleasant Street. There were no injuries.

9:17 p.m.

A resident who lives near the Green reported Internet harassment. Police offered advice on Internet security and controlling Facebook settings.

Saturday, Dec. 8, 3:39 p.m.

Police escorted Santa and Co. from Chester-Andover Elementary School to the Green.

Wednesday, Dec. 12, 9:20 a.m.

Chester-Andover Elementary School requested that Det. Matt Wilson give a one-hour class to four classes on the subject of bullying.

1:13 p.m.

A two-vehicle accident occurred in the parking lot of the Post Office on Main Street, caused by improper backing up. There were no injuries.

Friday, Dec. 21, 7:02 p.m.

A suspicious vehicle was reported on Church Street near the railroad tracks. Police arrived to find a flare or a firework, but no vehicle. Officer searched the immediate area for any other fires or causes of concern but found none.

10:45 p.m.

Complaint of a dog barking in the Elm Street area.

Saturday, Dec. 22, 2:35 p.m.

Police responded to a Coach Road address where the resident said she accidentally hit the “life alert” button, but reset it.

Friday, Dec. 28, 5:21 p.m.

Pleasant Street resident asked for advice on dealing with noisy neighbors, specifically an out-of-control child, which the officer observed having a meltdown. Police suggested that the resident call the building management since not much else could be done besides speaking with the parents.
